The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia announced that the Tesalia tunnel, a 3.5-kilometer-long work that is the largest with the greatest technical characteristics of Pacífico 3 corridor, already has an 99% work advance and will be delivered later this year. The Pacífico 3 project is a 146-kilometer highway corridor that will require investments of about 2 billion Colombian pesos (about US $ 520 million), and already reaches 90.10% in its execution. "The works in the Pacífico 3 project are essential to achieve the connectivity of 18 municipalities in the departments of Antioquia, Caldas and Risaralda," said Angela María Orozco, Minister of Transportation.

Longest tunnel in the Coffee Axis

When it comes into operation at the end of 2021, the Tesalia tunnel will bring great benefits to the region, including a reduction of between 35~40 minutes in travel time, which will improve mobility between Caldas, Risaralda and Antioquia, facilitating connectivity with the main coffee production centers of Colombia. "This tunnel will improve mobility between the departments of the southwest of the country and the port of Buenaventura," said the Minister.

2021, Feb. 15th - POSCO, one of Korea's

2021, Mar. 18th - Its main task will be the execution of development tasks and discovery of new products and 
new businesses by establishing external infrastructure material development, construction technology and equipments 
applying steel fiber together with the field technical support and structural design support.

Currently the research center has developed the new shape steel fiber SUPER BUNDREX, which injected into the concrete improving the flexural toughness 
and crack control performance of the concrete. When constructing the SUPER BUNDREX System Slab integrated deck, steel fiber is injected and 
interlayer slabs fused with concrete in order to minimize the subsidiary materials that are installed on the field, such as distributing and connecting rebars.

Patents  for Arched steel fiber for cement reinforcement material such as Patient No. 15510305 in USA and 
10-1596246 in Korea is already formalized.
